Fall Prevention Tai Chi
This class introduces the Tai Chi for Fall Prevention sequence starting from the very beginning. Regularly practicing the slow, rhythmic movements of Tai Chi smooths out stiff joints, improves balance, and promotes a sense of well-being. Community Essentrics Class
Join certified Essentrics Instructor Kelly DiIonno for a rejuvenating five-week Essentrics class and give your body the gift of movement. Whether you’re looking to stretch tight muscles, boost your energy, or simply unwind, this class will help you feel restored and ready to take on the weekend.
What is Essentrics? Essentrics is a functional movement program that focuses on strengthening the muscles in a lengthened position. It works all 650 muscles and 360 joints by using full body sequences interspersed with targeted body sequences to re-balance the entire body and unlock tight joints.
Essentrics is influenced by the flowing, strengthening and healing movements of tai chi, dance and physiotherapy. It improves posture, increases energy, and reduces pain by improving the range of motion through dynamic movement. This class is geared towards all ages and is a great program for athletes looking for more flexibility, people just beginning their fitness journeys, and for those recovering from injuries.
Come to one class in this winter series or attend all six! This class is open to all, cost is $10 per class. Venmo, cash, and checks accepted.
Questions? Reach out to Kelly
Board Game Social
Join us for our weekly Board Game Socials every Friday from 4-6 pm at the BBCC
All ages are welcome for these weekly, low-key, intergenerational meet-ups. We'll have snacks and our new board game library ready to go; all we need is you!
Feel free to bring friends, family, kiddos, and your own favorite games to play, including Magic the Gathering, and any others you'd like to share with the group.
This program is generously supported by an @aarpvermont Winter Placemaking Grant, as a part of their effort to reduce social isolation in older adults during the winter months. By bringing multiple generations together around a shared table, we hope to create warm, welcoming connections all season long.
