  • Community Events

Want to put on a play? Throw a pop up dinner party? Arrange a community dance?

    We are in!

The Broad Brook Community Center is available to rent for a wide variety public or private events from workshops to weddings and everything in between.

With the upstairs hall, our community dining room, and commercial kitchen, it’s a perfect venue for a wedding, or a professionally-produced event in a beautiful and historic setting.

We strive to be affordable, and offer discounted rates to Guilford residents.

Wondering what the building looks like?

In the traditional Grange style this building has a large open dance hall which fills the upstairs. At one end is a small stage which houses four historic painted curtains which were created by Guilford resident Charles Henry in the early 1900s. To learn more about these curtains and their historic significance visit the Vermont nonprofit Curtains Without Borders.

Upstairs Hall & Stage

Downstairs Dining Room

The downstairs dining room can accommodate up to 85 people seated at tables, and 100 people when the space is not set up with tables and chairs.

Off the dining room there are also two new ADA accessible restrooms.

Commercial Kitchen

The large kitchen area includes 4 long stainless steel workbenches, a Vulcan stove (with six burners, a large griddle, and two ovens), two large dish washing areas, and two refrigerators. The kitchen comes stocked with basic dishes, mugs, glassware, silverware, as well as small kitchen appliances and pots and pans.

Exterior of Building

The parking area accommodates roughly 26 cars and includes two accessible parking spaces near the entrance, and one electric charging station. The entrance is fully accessible, and inside the building is an elevator to the second floor for any who need assistance with stairs.
