4th of July in Guilford Center

  • Broad Brook Community Center 3940 Guilford Center Road Guilford, VT 05301 USA (map)

Join us for a joyful, old-fashioned Fourth of July celebration at the Broad Brook Community Center and around Guilford Center. From 11:30 AM to 2 PM on July 4th, we'll gather for an afternoon full of community spirit, delicious food, and simple summer fun.

Our celebration begins at the Guilford Center Meeting House at 11:30 AM with a stirring reading of the Declaration of Independence and reflections on the 250th anniversary of Paul Revere’s famous midnight ride. Then we'll enjoy a musical procession down to the BBCC lawn, where the festivities begin in full swing.

Enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch prepared by the Guilford Country Store (menu below), served under a big tent, live music from Rachel Bell and Andrew VanNorstrand, watermelon, strawberry shortcake, and bingo in the dining room, a new art show upstairs, yard games at the playscape, and free popsicles and kids' crafts at the library.

It’s a celebration for all ages, and we hope you’ll bring your picnic spirit, your family, your neighbors, and your love for our town. Let’s come together to celebrate our community, our freedom, and our history. We can’t wait to see you there!
